What if you’ve been looking at this whole money business backward?

Most of us spend years looking for money.

We look for it in jobs, businesses, investments, lottery tickets, and occasionally down the back of the sofa.

But Florence Scovel Shinn taught a rather different philosophy.

What if money is looking for you?

Florence believed that abundance was part of our Divine Supply, and that our words, expectations, and beliefs could either welcome prosperity or keep slamming the door in its face.

Which brings us to seven words I want you to remember:

Money Is Raining Down On Me Continuously.

Money. Is. Raining. Down. On. Me. Continuously.

Seven words.

And possibly the only weather forecast you’ll ever hear that doesn’t require an umbrella.

Why Is This Script “Dangerous”?

Don’t worry. Repeating it won’t make $50 bills fall from the sky and knock out the neighbors.

It’s dangerous because it challenges one of the most deeply ingrained ideas many people have about money:

There is never enough.

Think about the language we hear every day.

“Money is tight.”

“I can’t afford that.”

“Everything costs a fortune.”

“I’m always broke.”

Florence placed enormous importance on the spoken word. In The Game of Life and How to Play It, she described the word as a person’s “wand filled with magic and power.”

Her message was simple: be careful what you repeatedly declare over your life.

That’s where our seven-word script comes in.

Money Is Raining Down On Me Continuously.

The word I particularly love is continuously.

You’re not asking for one lonely $20 bill to arrive on Tuesday afternoon before prosperity disappears again until 2037.

You’re creating the expectation of flow.

Money coming through work.

Business.

Royalties.

Unexpected opportunities.

Refunds.

Investments.

New ideas.

Gifts.

Or channels you haven’t even considered yet.

Florence called this Divine Supply.

Try This for Seven Days

Every morning for the next seven days, say:

“Money Is Raining Down On Me Continuously.”

Don’t mumble it while simultaneously checking your bank account with the facial expression of someone awaiting medical test results.

Say it with expectation.

Then I’d like you to do something else.

Look for the rain.

Did somebody offer you an opportunity?

Did an unexpected payment arrive?

Did you discover a way to save money?

Did someone recommend your work?

Did an idea suddenly appear that could create income?

Tell me in the comments that you’re accepting the challenge by writing:

MONEY IS RAINING DOWN ON ME CONTINUOUSLY!

Don’t Tell the Money How to Arrive

This is where Florence’s teachings become particularly interesting.

We often decide not only what we want, but exactly how it must happen.

That’s rather like ordering a taxi and then insisting the driver use the route you’ve chosen, despite having absolutely no idea where you are.

Declare the destination.

Remain open about the road.

Your prosperity may arrive through a completely unexpected person, opportunity, idea, or coincidence.

Perhaps you’ll call it manifestation.

Perhaps you’ll call it heightened awareness.

Perhaps you’ll simply wonder why some opportunities seem to appear at exactly the right moment.

Florence would probably smile and call it Divine Order.

Either way, stop walking around telling the world that money avoids you.

For the next seven days, try something different.

Lift your imaginary umbrella.

Turn it upside down.

And declare:

Money Is Raining Down On Me Continuously.

You never know what might fall into it.
