Miracle manifestation can be a frustrating business when absolutely nothing appears to be happening.
You’ve spoken your affirmation. You’ve visualized. You’ve prayed. You’ve tried to think positively.
And then you wait.
The phone doesn’t ring. The email doesn’t arrive. Your bank account continues stubbornly impersonating yesterday’s bank account.
And nobody knocks on the door carrying a suitcase full of money.
How inconsiderate.
But Florence Scovel Shinn would probably remind us of something important. Never judge the final outcome by what you can see right now.
Miracle Manifestation and the Problem With Checking
Florence taught extensively about faith, expectation, Divine Guidance, and the power of the spoken word.
Yet one of the hardest parts of manifestation is what happens after you’ve declared what you want.
We start checking.
Is it here yet?
How about now?
Anything?
By Wednesday, we’ve decided the whole thing clearly isn’t working.
But the visible result is often the final part of a much longer chain of events. Someone may hear about your work. An opportunity may be developing. A conversation could lead somewhere completely unexpected.
You simply cannot see the whole picture from where you’re standing.
Stop Telling Your Miracle How to Arrive
There’s another problem.
Sometimes the answer arrives and we send it back because it doesn’t look like the answer we ordered.
You ask for more money and receive a business idea.
“No, thank you. I meant money.”
You ask for an opportunity and somebody invites you somewhere unusual.
“No, that can’t possibly be it.”
You ask for change, something changes, and suddenly complain, “I meant a nice change!”
Apparently, the Universe failed to read the small print.
Florence’s idea of Divine Guidance leaves room for an answer to arrive through a channel you hadn’t considered.
Think about the job you didn’t get, the person who said no, the house that fell through, or the plan that collapsed spectacularly on a wet Wednesday afternoon.
At the time, it may have looked disastrous.
Months later, you may have found yourself saying, “Thank goodness that happened.”
What If Something Wonderful Happens?
There’s a simple experiment you can try for the next seven days.
Each morning, before checking your phone or allowing your brain to produce its daily catalog of potential disasters, say:
MY MIRACLE IS ALREADY IN MOTION.
Then get on with your day.
Don’t sit on the sofa waiting for trumpets.
Stay alert.
Notice conversations, ideas, introductions, invitations, coincidences, and unexpected opportunities. Take sensible action when something feels worth pursuing.
This isn’t about pretending every inconvenience is secretly a miracle. It’s about resisting our habit of immediately assuming we already know how the story ends.
If you don’t know what tomorrow contains, why automatically reserve the worst seat in the house?
Florence had enormous faith in unexpected channels of good.
Perhaps that’s the real challenge.
Speak positively. Expect good. Remain receptive. Follow useful guidance when it appears.
And stop trying to supervise every detail.
Frankly, the Universe has survived quite a long time without our management.
Your circumstances today are only today’s circumstances.
They are not necessarily tomorrow’s.
So keep your eyes open.
Your miracle may already be in motion.
